MTN Safety Council Meeting

Date: May 23, 2025

Time: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Location: I-40 Westbound near Dickson – Mile Marker 170

This month's MTN Safety Council meeting, scheduled for May 19th, 2025, has been canceled. In its place, we invite you to volunteer for the Tennessee Trucking Association's (TTA) Safety Break on May 23, 2025.

We are seeking volunteers and donations for the event. Volunteers will help distribute free refreshments and promote safe driving messages at various rest areas.

Event Locations:

I-40 Westbound near Dickson – Mile Marker 170  (Location closest to MTN)

I-75 Northbound near Athens – Mile Marker 45

I-40 Eastbound near Jackson – Mile Marker 73

I-40 Eastbound near Dandridge – Mile Marker 420

What to Expect:

Members of Tennessee’s Road Team, TTA Safety Management Council, and the Department of Safety will be at each location providing refreshments and promoting safety tips like buckling up, slowing down, and avoiding distracted and drowsy driving. A tractor-trailer will also be on display at each location to show the blind spots around large vehicles.
